Applying for any new job role can be stressful and learning just a few simple techniques to use before you even get an interview can mean the difference between success and failure. Firstly, look at your application and C.V. is it well presented and thorough, as well as accurate?  Have you concisely answered any questions they have asked you, and made sure all your personal information is up-to-date, and correct?  Once the application has been submitted (well before the deadline) start finding out as much information about the company you want to work for as possible.  Do they have an ethos that you can learn, what are their ethics, values and requirements?

Look at the possibility of enrolling on one or two Public speaking courses run by a company such as http://www.collegeofpublicspeaking.co.uk/ they could really benefit you by improving your confidence in communication and other essential skills. Once you have an interview secured, make sure you prepare, write bullet point questions to ask, take all your academic certificates in a briefcase and make sure you wear smart clothes and have your hair neat and tidy. Walk tall, shake hands confidently and look the interviewers in the eye.

Listen carefully to any questions the interviewers ask you and use your pre-prepared, bullet point notes to help you respond to them accurately and concisely. Stay focused, polite and confidant, employ all the skills you learnt previously on the Public speaking courses you attended and secure that job role.
