Jewellery making is a good example of this, and if you get really good at it, you could even make a bit of money from your skills too!

When it comes to starting off doing any sort of craft project, spend some time doing a bit of research before you dive right in. Make sure that you know what to do and also the safety that is involved in it especially when using tools or hazardous substances.

Watching some videos online and reading books is a great place to start off if you are wanting to get into a particular hobby or interest. You can then start to hone your skills and as you get better attempt more ambitious projects. Starting off simple is best as this way you won’t get in over your head and end up becoming overwhelmed with it. Skills take time to build up.
