A very successful and entertaining show filmed in Canada is still proving to be very popular. It’s the adventures of the Property Brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott. Part of the appeal helps that they are identical twins but in terms of personality they are rather different. Drew is a real estate agent, and a successful one at that, whereas Jonathan is the handyman who can pretty much put up anything. The show works like this.
Rather than buy a new build or an established property, and blow all your purchase money, it might be better to buy a “fixer upper”. These are properties that need a lot of work done to them and they are being sold cheaply, sometimes through auction. Drew sorts out the purchase and Jonathan helps the couple doing the buying to make the property as new and to their specifications.
They still need to have the work of a survey done on the property to make sure it can be fixed up rather than just levelled and begun again. At least they need not worry about the Structural survey cost if they click on the link. It is a fun show, it’s not a surprise that Drew has acting experience and Jonathan wanted to be an illusionist before they got in property.« Back
